Surveyor, historian, author. Dr. Joe Knetsch earned his PhD in History from Florida State University in 1900. Since 1987, Knetsch has served as the historian for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Division of State Lands, Bureau of Survey and Mapping. He has authored numerous articles on the history of surveying, in addition to papers presented and courses taught on the subject. Published books include Florida's Seminole Wars, 1817-1858. Fro...
